So how much
video will fit on a DVD? The amount of video that you can distribute on your DVD depends on a
number of factors including the bit-rate of the encoded video, the associated
audio tracks (multiple-language) and additional material along with menu
complexity, but a general rule of thumb is about 130 minutes (2 hours
10 minutes) for DVD-5 with standard bit-rate and a 48 kHz audio stream.
DVD-9 will hold about 4 hours of video. |
