What we need to produce your DVD:
An
edited video master on Digital Betacam, Beta SX/SP, DVCPro 50/25, DVCAM
or mini-DV. Almost all other formats are also supported. We'll author
for you; we encode your master to superior quality MPEG2, create motion
menus, even design all artwork & retail packaging. We can even produce
special features i.e. 'The making of', 'Directors outtakes' etc.
OR, You supply us with an authored master on DLT tape or a mastered and
authored DVD-R (DVD-5.)
If all you have access to is "general purpose" DVD-R media and
recording equipment, you can provide us a DVD-R and do the preparation.
We can make the transfer to DLT tape for you, but remember general-purpose
media is limited to 3.95 GB of data.
You can also provide either a finished layout for the DVD wrap - the paper
that goes around the outside of an Amaray box (the most usual form of
DVD packaging currently) - and artwork for the booklet, if you plan to
include one. Of course, we can design these elements for you, or, you
can provide finished printed matter for insertion in the packaging.
Also available are DVD DigiPaks, which make for a very nice package in
quantities starting at 2,000 units, and economical in runs of 10,000 pieces
and up. You'll also need to provide artwork for the imprint on the disc.
While you can provide film, we strongly recommend you allow us to make
the film for the disc imprint! We are expert in film creation for media
manufacturing and you will get the best result if this step is left to
us.
